Microalgae Cultivated under Magnetic Field Action: Insights of an Environmentally Sustainable Approach

Microalgae and cyanobacteria include procaryotic eucaryotic photosynthetic micro-organisms that produce biomass rich in biomolecules with a high value. Some examples of these are proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, pigments, antioxidants, vitamins. Currently, microalgae also considered good source biofuel feedstock. The microalga-based biorefinery approach should be used to promote the sustainability generation since microalga production can performed integrated into circular bioeconomy structure. To an environmentally sustainable cultures, it is necessary develop alternative ways at low cost, reducing pollution improving development. Different strategies being achieve more productivity cultivation, such as magnets cultures. Magnetic forces alter metabolism, this field study promising innovative, yet remains unexplored area. This review presents current trends magnetic biostimulation for application cultivated different areas biotechnology, biofuel, bioenergy production, well environmental protection.
